What Is Therapeutic Movement?
Therapeutic movement focuses on using intentional, mindful movement to support healing, mobility, strength, and nervous system regulation. Rather than emphasizing performance or poses, these classes prioritize how movement feels in your body—offering options, modifications, and thoughtful pacing so each person can move safely and confidently.
Our therapeutic movement classes may include elements of yoga, Pilates, breathwork, gentle strength, balance, and mobility work. They are designed to support pain relief, injury recovery, stress reduction, and overall well-being—meeting you where you are and helping you build resilience over time.
Our Mission
We believe therapeutic movement and yoga should be accessible, inviting, and deeply nourishing—practices that meet you exactly where you are. Our classes are designed to support healing, resilience, and connection by helping you feel comfortable in your body, regulate stress, and restore balance to both body and mind.
We welcome all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners, and offer a variety of therapeutic movement classes and yoga styles to support your unique wellness journey. Whether you are seeking gentle restoration, strength and mobility, nervous system support, or mindful movement, our studio provides a safe, inclusive space to move, breathe, and heal.
Current Class Schedule & Descriptions
Chair Yoga
A gentle, supportive class that brings the benefits of yoga to every body. Using the stability of a chair, you’ll explore seated and standing poses with plenty of options for comfort and safety. Expect gentle stretches to ease stiffness, simple movements to support healthy joints and posture, breathing practices to calm the mind, and guided relaxation to help you feel centered and renewed. This class is especially supportive for seniors, those recovering from injury, or anyone seeking a nurturing, accessible yoga experience.
Evening Unwind Restorative Yoga
End your day in peaceful stillness with this deeply relaxing restorative practice. Using props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks, your body will be fully supported in restful poses held for several minutes each. You’ll be guided through mindful breathing and gentle awareness to release physical tension, soothe the nervous system, and quiet the mind. Ideal for stress relief, recovery from busy days, or improving sleep. Leave feeling restored, grounded, and at ease.
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra, or “yogic sleep,” is a guided meditation practice that brings the body into deep relaxation while the mind remains gently aware. Performed lying down or seated, it uses breath awareness and body scanning to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and support better sleep. This restorative practice is accessible to all levels and is especially helpful for those experiencing anxiety, fatigue, chronic pain, or burnout.
Mat Pilates
This mat-based Pilates class focuses on building core strength, improving posture, and enhancing overall body stability through controlled, intentional movement. Using bodyweight exercises and supportive props such as bands, blocks, and small balls, this class helps strengthen deep stabilizing muscles while improving flexibility, balance, and coordination.
Movements are low-impact and adaptable, making this class appropriate for most fitness levels. You can expect a steady, mindful pace that emphasizes proper alignment, breath awareness, and functional strength to support everyday movement and injury prevention.
Yoga Fundamentals
Yoga in Sanskrit means to yoke/harness. Here we will explore our breath and how to infuse movements with the breath to expand and strengthen our bodies. Modifications for poses are provided and encouraged. Repetition for muscle activation, balance work and mind-body awareness are also practiced. My hope is that you feel more grounded in your body and aware of your personal movement patterns and leave with a rested nervous system and tools for you to return to that state.
Flow + Strength Yoga
This upbeat, feel-good class blends flowing yoga sequences with Pilates-inspired strength and core work. Expect continuous movement, mindful transitions, and moments of challenge that build strength, balance, and body awareness—without losing the grounding elements of yoga.
The pace is peppy but approachable, with clear instruction and options offered throughout, making this class accessible for beginners while still satisfying for those who enjoy a little more intensity. You’ll leave feeling energized, strong, and accomplished—both physically and mentally.
Abide: Restorative Movement & Prayer
Abide is a gentle, faith-centered class designed to help you slow down and reconnect with God through intentional movement and stillness. This practice blends restorative and yin-inspired postures, light stretching, and breath work with meditation on scripture and quiet prayer. The pace is slow and supportive, making it accessible for all levels and especially helpful for calming the nervous system and releasing tension. Come as you are and experience a peaceful space to rest, reflect, and renew.
Gentle Flow
A calming and grounding class that moves slowly and intentionally through gentle sequences of yoga postures, breathwork, and mindful awareness. Expect smooth transitions, light stretching, and moments of stillness to release tension and restore balance to body and mind. This class is perfect for beginners, those returning to yoga, or anyone who wants a slower, more reflective practice that promotes flexibility, circulation, and inner peace.
Spinal Flow & Mobility (Limited 5-week Series)
A mindful movement class designed to support strength, stability, and healthy mobility throughout the entire body. Each week focuses on a different area—the spine, trunk, abdomen, legs, and neck—creating a rotating 5-week series that improves posture, builds core support, increases range of motion, and helps reduce pain and tension. Through gentle, intentional sequencing and breathwork, students learn how to move with greater ease and awareness, making this class ideal for anyone seeking improved spinal health, functional mobility, and a more balanced, resilient body. Take just one class per week or all 3 for greater mobility and strength.
Prenatal Movement & Exercise Workshops
Honor and nourish your body’s growing demands as you prepare for labor and delivery. Intention is that you grow stronger in your connection with both your body and your baby through these 1.5 hour prenatal fitness sessions. Learn about your breath and how to utilize it optimally during exercise as well as how to use it to calm your nervous system. As our babies grow, so does our center of gravity; through self study, we will explore functional movement patterns and equip ourselves with exercises to encourage alignment and source our own personal “balance”. You can expect mat work with props such as blocks, bolsters, bands and chairs accompanied by slow paced flowing movements and deep core/pelvic floor work. Modifications are provided and encouraged to address and explore our unique needs. (90 minutes)
